Horseback Trail Rides and Pack Trips
Royal Tine offers horseback trail rides during the months of July and August. Please call or email for availability.
Trail rides are a great way to spend some relaxing time riding horses with friends and family in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Montana. So, grab some pals or loved ones and get out of town and get close to nature!
Our horses are calm and gentle and the scenery is incredible. Previous riding experience is not necessary to participate in one of our guided trail rides.
We’ll make sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of on your dream horse ride! Just enjoy yourself in a friendly environment.
Horseback Riding Rates
Lone Pine Ride
175/person for groups of 2 – 3
125/person for groups of 4 – 8
Rides start at 8 am, plan on 3 hours. This ride is a gentle ride on a scenic trail right from base camp to Lone Pine meadow with spectacular views of the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness.
Riders must be at least 10 years old.
Anaconda Pintlar Wilderness Ride
$250/person for groups of 3-8. $350/person for a party of 2.
Plan on 4-6 hours ride time and 1-2 hours travel time to trailhead depending on trailhead chosen. Pintler rides are for intermediate riders and not recommended for kids 12 and under. The rides are longer and trails rougher.
Our rider weight limit is 230 pounds. There will be no running the horses.

Equipment and Attire
To ensure your comfort and safety, please come prepared with appropriate riding attire. This includes:
- Long pants – no shorts allowed.
- Footwear with a heel, such as hiking boots or cowboy boots, are recommended. NO open-toed shoes, sandals or flip-flops are allowed.
- Rain jackets, just in case. NO Ponchos.
- Helmets are required on kids under 12. We have a few available upon request.
- Other items to consider bringing: brimmed hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray.
